Living Waters Assembly of God was founded in 1975 under the leadership of Pastor Ed Raymond. Originally called Faith Assembly, the first service was held on April 6, 1975, at Woodview Elementary School. Services were held at several school locations during the early stages of our growth.

Also in 1975, the house and present property at the corner of Atkinson and Brae Loch was purchased.

In 1979, Pastor Raymond moved on and Pastor Steve Klipowitz became our new pastor. Pastor Klipowitz served for the next six years before moving on in November of 1985. Soon thereafter Pastor B.G. Nevitt came to assume the pastorate position. Under Pastor Nevitt the church name was changed to Living Waters Assembly of God. The parsonage was also remodeled during Pastor Nevittís early tenure with services held there until October of 1987. In September of 1987, our original sanctuary was constructed with its dedication held on October 25, 1987. Pastor Nevitt continued on until September 1, 1991 when he accepted a pastorate position in Decatur, Illinois.

On November 17, 1991, Pastor Richard Valkanet was elected Pastor to Living Waters. Less than three years later, Living Waters became an autonomous member of the Assemblies of God on March 9, 1994. Under Pastor Valkanetís leadership, the congregation outgrew the old sanctuary. In August 1994, ground was broken for the new Ministry Center that is now utilized.

Today, Living Waters continues to focus on global missions and discipling people towards a deeper, intimate walk with Christ.
